Our Mission
FinEstate is an independent personal-finance and macroeconomics publication for India's salaried professionals. Our objective is to explain how the Indian financial system actually works — RBI policy, taxation, banking, mutual funds, insurance, and real estate — in plain English, anchored to primary sources, and free of the product-pushing and oversimplification that dominate the space.
Every article takes a macroeconomic or regulatory development and translates it into the specific decisions a household is already facing — the home loan, the SIP, the ITR, the deposit, the rent. We publish slow, verifiable, education-first analysis: the aim is for the reader to understand the mechanism, not to be sold an answer. FinEstate publishes educational content only and does not provide investment advice.
What We Cover
FinEstate is organised around four connected pillars, each built as a cluster so a reader can move from a single news event to the underlying evergreen explainer:
- RBI & Macro — monetary policy, inflation, currency, banking regulation, and what they mean for your money.
- Tax & Investing — income tax, ITR filing, the old vs new regime, mutual funds, and capital gains.
- Personal Finance — insurance, deposits and deposit insurance, credit, and emergency planning.
- Real Estate — home loans, RERA, stamp duty, and city-market analysis.
How Our Analysis Is Done
Primary sources, named. Claims cite the original source — RBI press-release IDs, MoSPI publications, SEBI circular numbers, CBDT circulars, DICGC documents, PIB release IDs — not secondary outlets. Where secondary outlets are referenced, they are starting points; the final numbers reconcile back to source.
Numbers, verifiable. Every statistic can be cross-checked at rbi.org.in, mospi.gov.in, sebi.gov.in, dicgc.org.in, ppac.gov.in, indiabudget.gov.in, or pib.gov.in.
SEBI-compliant framing. No directional language, no buy/sell/hold calls. Analysis is observation and explanation, not advice.
AI assistance, disclosed. Articles are drafted with AI assistance; all facts are verified against primary sources by the editor before publishing. The editorial judgement is human.
Corrections welcome. If you find an error in a number or citation, email the address below. Corrections are issued with a dated note at the foot of the article.
